The Victoria line carries 200 million of us across London each year. Through 2016 Art on the Underground is presenting Underline, a project that draws its inspiration from this pivotal, fast, subterranean line. Alongside visual artists Liam Gillick, Giles Round, Zineb Sedira and Turner Prize-winning architectural collective Assemble, Art on the Underground’s first ever commissioned composer, Matt Rogers, will create a series of site-specific works. They will be performed by the London Sinfonietta on every Sunday in April, bringing new music to thousands of journeys.

Sunday 17 April is the third in a series of Displaced Duets taking place on Sunday 3, 10 and 17 April, each featuring a solo player dueting with a taped recording of themselves. This leads to a final performance on Sunday 24 April with a series of ensemble pieces performed across the entire Victoria line.

Drawing visually on the Victoria line’s unique tile motifs, the players' costumes have been designed by Jenny Hayton with graphic works by Fraser Muggeridge studio.
