The London Sinfonietta visit Queen Margaret Primary School in Tewkesbury and welcome local primary schools in a day of workshops and concerts exploring how a musical idea begins and how to compose music to tell a story. The ensemble will perform contemporary repertoire from Bela Bartok to Michael Nyman and Judith Weir, and in a creative composition workshop the students will create their own new work which will receive its world-premiere performance that day.
