We've had a busy Autumn so far as our season gets into full swing. With concerts at Southbank Centre, the Royal Opera House, two UK tours and a trip to Singapore, we've been enjoying bringing new music to new audiences and forging new relationships. Have a look at some of our Autumn highlights so far, with some snaps and quotes from along the way...
Gerald Barry: The Intelligence Park
Gerald Barry’s operas are like no other – daring, surreal, and often laugh-out-loud funny. Over the past month, we have toured The Intelligence Park across the UK including performances at The Sherman Theatre, Cardiff; Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester; Birmingham Repertory Theatre and the Royal Opera House's Linbury Theatre in London.
The Intelligence Park was a Music Theatre Wales and Royal Opera House co-production, in association with London Sinfonietta.

Solos, Duos, Ensemble at Southbank Centre
In October we kicked off our Southbank Centre season with a concert featuring solo, duo and ensemble repertoire with works from Sir Harrison Birtwistle, Chaya Czernowin, Cheryl Frances-Hoad and a premiere from Writing the Future Composer Edward Nesbit.
Turning Points: The Emergence of Minimalism UK Tour
Throughout October and November, we took minimalism across the UK with our Turning Points: The Emergence of Minimalism tour to our newly established Foyle Foundation New Music Network. Starting at Warwick Arts Centre, we went on to perform at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Wiltshire Music Centre, and Turner Sims in Southampton. The tour included special concerts for young audiences at every venue and an evening performance that guided the audience through 1960s America's emergence of minimalist music.
"Such an amazing concert for the immersement into the compositional process! @Ldn_Sinfonietta paving the way in a world where music education is not even considered to be fundamental! Thank you so much for your inspirational day @RWCMD!" @JasperDommett
Singapore Residency 2019
Players from the London Sinfonietta took part in a week-long residency at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music (YST) in Singapore which culminated in two concerts at the Esplanade Concert Hall. Students from the conservatory participated in individual and group coaching with London Sinfonietta musicians and conductor Christian Karlsen throughout the week.
