On the second night of our two-part series a pre-concert talk explores the use of texture, timbre, microtones and overtones as compositional techniques, before performances of important chamber works from the past 50 years that chart this territory. A late night lounge expands the sonic journey into the electronic and electroacoustic; we premiere new music by two emerging composers as part of their Embedded Residency at Southbank Centre, in partnership with Sound and Music.
