LS Collective

Young people curating, producing and performing

LS Collective

The London Sinfonietta welcomes young people and students to curate, produce and perform events using the resources of the ensemble’s musicians, artists and composers. These events are produced and promoted as part of the ensemble’s season, and offer unique opportunities for training and creative growth for the young people involved. London Sinfonietta Collective projects will be created across London and the UK.

Following the success of the 2008 Culture Collective at Southbank Centre, this season sees the launch of the KX Collective, involving young musicians and producers from the King’s Cross area, home of the London Sinfonietta’s new headquarters at Kings Place.

The London Sinfonietta Collective will expand to encompass not just the Culture Collective at the Southbank and the KX Collective at Kings Place, but a wider community online and out in the field. Members of the Collective, creating and sharing artistic ideas, will shape our engagement with young people guiding us to create inspiring physical and digital spaces in which to make new work.
