  • Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 January saw the launch of the KX Collective- a group of young people from the Islington and Camden areas who are working with the London Sinfonietta throughout the season in a series of creative workshops and events. A video detailing the events of the weekend has now been made and can be viewed right here.

  • On Saturday 13 February, 10:30pm, on the Hear and Now show on BBC Radio 3 our celebration of George Benjmain's 50th Birthday is being broadcast. The programme features an interview between Tom Service and George Benjamin and then a broadcast of the whole event. You can also watch the video of the Matthias Sperling dance performed alongside Viola Viola. This is all available until Saturday 20 February.

  • In advance of the Sonic Explorations Festival which takes place on 1-3 October at Kings Place, the London Sinfonietta have released two new Podcasts to help you discover more about electroacoustic music.

    In Podcast 2, Jonathan Harvey talks to Sara Mohr-Pietsch about the many different kinds of electroacoustic music which will be performed at the festival, as well as the composers, the ideas and concepts behind the music and IRCAM, the iconic music centre in Paris.

  • The London Sinfonietta launches a new series of podcasts with an exclusive interview with Sir Harrison Birtwistle about his work, influences, and three of his early pieces which are to be performed by the London Sinfonietta at the BBC Proms on 4th August.
