REVEAL presents London Sinfonietta IN TIME...
Sound designer David Sheppard (part of Sound Intermedia) and visual artist Tony Comley explored the architecture and heritage of the Midland Goods Shed through sound, image and live performance as part of the REVEAL festival in April 2010.
Members of London Sinfonietta performed contemporary acoustic and electro-acoustic works woven together with aural and visual landscapes that animated the impressive structure, responding to its sense of history and space.
The programme was only revealed on the night, to keep audiences guessing right up until the last moment.
Meet at The Cross Kings Pub, 126 York Way, London, N1 0AX half an hour before the start of the performance you are attending
As this is a site specific performance, please arrive at the Cross Kings at 6.30 for the 7:00pm performance and 7.30pm for the 8.00pm performance as you will be stewarded to the Midlands Good Shed from here. There are no toilet or bar facilities on arrival at the location so the Cross Kings is the last moment for creature comforts and also a great spot for a pre show drink.
Performance Venue: Midland Goods Shed, King’s Cross Freight Depot, York Way, London N1C 4UZ
This event begins the London Sinfonietta's Experiment! Festival, a mini-festival bringing a spirit of exploration and discovery into the performance and public spaces of Kings Place from April 29-May 1.
