KX Collective Launch

The KX Collective is a group of young people who create new music and produce events with the London Sinfonietta, based at Kings Place.

In this performance, you will hear new acoustic and electronic works which have been produced with composer Fraser Trainer, London Sinfonietta players Simon Haram (saxophone), David Purser (trombone) and Ian Dearden (of Sound Intermedia).

The KX Collective participate in projects with the London Sinfonietta throughout the year. As well as creating new music, members of the group are also involved in shaping the London Sinfonietta’s programme of music making for young people, sound and lighting design, marketing their own events and stage managing KX Collective productions. Members of the KX Collective are young people who are excited by the idea of creating new music - instrumentalists, vocalists, music technology enthusiasts and producers.

If you are between 14 and 19, and interested in joining the KX Collective, please call Amy Majumdar on 020 7239 9340 or email amy.majumdar@londonsinfonietta.org.uk.

The KX Collective project is generously supported by Cripplegate Foundation, the Marple Charitable Trust and Youth Music.
