Colin Matthews Three Enigmas
A vibrant showcase of music from two of today’s leading composers, Colin Matthews and Dai Fujikura, forms the third London Sinfonietta performance at this years Kings Place Festival.
Both composers will be joining the ensemble for the performance to discuss their work, which includes Matthews' mysterious work for cello and piano, and the world premiere of Fujikura's Es, a new work for solo double bass commissioned by the London Sinfonietta. The piece was commissioned by Robert Clark and Susan Costello as part of the Sinfonietta Shorts series - see our Support Us pages for more info.
Broadcaster and presenter Sara Mohr-Pietsch introduces each 45-minute London Sinfonietta concert at the festival, giving audiences an extra insight into the music being performed.
