Celebrated violinist Philippe Graffin is joined by pianist Elizabeth Burley and the London Sinfonietta to mark the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin. The world premiere of Michael Stimpson’s Age of Wonders is set in an evolutionary programme which includes a violin sonata by Darwin’s contemporary, Mendelssohn, and Chausson’s own chamber ensemble arrangement of his famous Poème which Philippe Graffin re-discovered and premiered.
