ETHER 2011

LS performs at Southbank Centre's innovative Ether festival

Join the London Sinfonietta for three landmark concerts as part of Ether, Southbank Centre’s annual music festival of innovation, art, technology and cross-arts experimentation.

This year is no different as we showcase the work of the pioneering Iannis Xenakis: Architect of Sound, perform with Micachu and the Shapes for the second ever performance of Chopped and Screwed, and welcome Louis Andriessen for the UK premiere of his latest masterpiece Anaïs Nin.

Hear Louis Andriessen discuss his work, including De Staat and Anaïs Nin, on this London Sinfonietta podcast presented by BBC Radio 3's Sara Mohr-Pietsch.

Over the last decade, Ether has presented some of the most groundbreaking new work and a wealth of unique events, many of which have featured boundary-pushing new music from the London Sinfonietta.
