PARTICIPATION & LEARNING OFFICER
The role of Participation & Learning Officer offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the planning, administration and delivery of projects, schemes and events which fall within the organisation’s ground-breaking programme of Participation & Learning work.The current priorities are:
- Creative project working with schools and teachers
- Schools concerts which give access to live music for larger numbers of young people
- Public participation projects which allow an opportunity for the public to participate in performing, creating or interacting directly with contemporary music
- Professional development schemes to grow and nurture new performing talent and develop new work, supporting emerging musicians, composers and artists through the Academy project, the Blue Touch Paper programme and the Writing the Future scheme
We are seeking an enthusiastic, task-oriented person who enjoys meeting and organising participants and groups, as well as organising and implementing projects in the near future which have already been scoped.
In order to support the post-holder, a Participation & Learning Consultant will be available two days a month (minimum) to advise on and support longer-term strategic planning. As with all posts in this small organisation, the Chief Executive also helps set strategic plans.
