Chair of the Board of Trustees / Directors
The London Sinfonietta, the UK’s leading contemporary music ensemble, is seeking a Chair to provide leadership and direction to its Board of Trustees / Directors and to maintain high standards of governance. This non-executive voluntary position is responsible for ensuring that overall strategic objectives for the organisation are in place and delivered, working through the Chief Executive and management staff. The organisation is committed to exploring, commissioning and performing the world’s leading composers, conductors and artists, embracing innovation and risk-taking both on and off the platform. It continues to work to sustain its place as an essential part of the UK’s contemporary culture landscape through the development of new artistic work and its passion for engaging with audiences and offering creative learning opportunities to young people.
We would be interested to hear from anyone who feels they have the professional and personal experience required to fufil this role, as well as an enthusiasm for the artistic mission and ethos of the London Sinfonietta.
