LIVE LAUNCH

We launched Steve Reich's Clapping Music app at Southbank Centre on Saturday 1 August 2015.

CLAPPING MUSIC COMPETITION #1

Master the hard level of the game and you will be invited to submit your high score to the London Sinfonietta by email. We will have future opportunities to invite the best players to attend masterclasses with our professional percussionists, after which competition winners will be chosen to perform live on stage.

Our first Clapping Music Competion is now closed. It ran throughout the month of July and culminated in a performance at Southbank Centre's Clore Ballroom in London, on 1 August.

Terms and conditions for the competition apply – click here.

FUTURE COMPETITIONS

We will be running future competitions all around the world. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter, or check back here to find out when the next one is happening.

RESEARCH – CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

We have developed this app in partnership with Touchpress and Queen Mary University of London. QMUL are undertaking research into how the app supports people’s acquisition and development of rhythm, and we need people to participate by answering questions about their use of the app.

If you can help us please click here.
